List of rubber materials required for hot vulcanization joints of conveyor belts

Rubber conveyor belt connectors include both cold and hot connectors. The materials required for cold bonding connectors are very simple, and only cold vulcanizing glue CV2000 is needed to complete the bonding. However, cold bonding connectors can only be used in rubber conveyor belts with low strength.
There are more materials and more complex processes involved in hot vulcanization joints. The list of materials required for the joint includes: hot vulcanized rubber slurry, hot vulcanized core rubber, and hot vulcanized surface rubber. The joints of conveyor belts made through hot vulcanization have high strength and good performance, meeting the operational requirements of layered belts and steel wire belts of any strength.
The thermosetting adhesive acts as a bonding agent. When applied to the surfaces of core rubber, surface rubber, fabric layers, steel wire ropes, etc., the adhesive penetrates into the bonding surface, ensuring complete adhesion without air bubbles inside, thereby enhancing the bonding strength.
Thermal vulcanization repair adhesive series - Thermal vulcanized rubber compound for conveyor belts
The thermally vulcanized core rubber is laid between the fabric layer and the steel wire rope of the conveyor belt, filling, covering, and bonding the core layer of the conveyor belt.
The thermally vulcanized surface rubber exhibits strong tensile and wear resistance. When applied to the upper and lower surfaces of the joint, it provides protection to the conveyor belt joint, thereby extending its service life.
Both layered belts and steel wire belts have their corresponding dedicated hot vulcanization adhesives and materials, such as the hot vulcanization adhesive for layered belts and the hot vulcanization adhesive for steel wire belts.
Procedure for using rubber compound for heat vulcanization joints of laminated conveyor belts
Taking a 4-layer fabric conveyor belt as an example
Belt delamination
The vulcanization length is 75cm. Measure 60cm and divide it into 3 equal parts. Peel off in a trapezoidal shape to expose the next fabric layer. Peel off the connectors on both ends on opposite sides. When connecting, the two peeled-off surfaces can engage with each other layer by layer.
Grind
Use an angle grinder to remove the residual adhesive on the peeled surface, lightly grind the fabric layer, and use the angle grinder to grind the rubber 10cm behind the peeled surface into a rough surface. The rubber on the back of the peeled front end should also be ground.
Glue application
Evenly apply hot vulcanizing glue on the two polished fabric surfaces of the joint
Apply adhesive
Evenly and smoothly apply the thermally vulcanized core rubber to the end joint that has been coated with glue paste. Lay down several layers of core rubber, and apply glue at the edges. Cut the core rubber into strips, and stack them layer by layer to ensure evenness, smoothness, and compactness.
Apply a certain thickness of hot vulcanized surface rubber to the polished surface area of the joint.
Each time a layer of adhesive is laid, a coat of hot vulcanizing rubber paste should be applied.
Sulfurization
Place the vulcanizing machine flatly, tighten the steel beam with screws, press the press plate to compress the conveyor belt joint, fill the heating plate with water, heat it to 145℃, and maintain for 30 minutes. The vulcanization is complete.
